BRICKWOOD

Our client’s end of terrace three bedroom house is situated on a quiet residential road just outside the centre of Croydon. The existing layout of the house had limited space with an office having to be situated in one of the bedrooms and no space for a utility area. The kitchen area was very compact and does not function as the hub of the home.

The single storey ground floor rear extension allowed for more appropriately sized kitchen areas as well as a utility area and dining space designed in an open plan arrangement. This afforded our clients far more space and, with the addition of two skylights to the rear, far more natural light. Decking was maintained to the rear of the extension to improve the relationship between the property and the garden.

Our visuals helped our client’s to understand the concept and design of our proposals and these are included above. This is a key part of our design consultation process and proved invaluable in this particular project when examining the amount of light we could get into the new space.

The project was constructed by Thompson Constructionon time and on budget in the Summer of 2011.
